Marloes

From the Executive Chairman: Dr. Amit N. Thakker

I am delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs. Marloes Kibacha as our Managing Director, effective immediately. Marloes has been a pivotal member of Africa Health Business. She co-founded the company in 2015, launching our flagship product the Africa Health Business Symposium, and today we have grown into a full-fledged consultancy and advisory firm serving some of the largest institutions, companies and investors on the African continent and beyond.

Over the past five years, as the Operations Director, Marloes led the company’s projects and general operations. Her strong network of key decision makers and African health leaders within both the private, public and development health space, her solid project management skills and deep knowledge of the African healthcare industry are great assets for Africa Health Business.

Besides her role at Africa Health Business, Marloes is the founder and board member of Imarika Initiative, a small-scale community program that supports mentally disabled children and their families in Mukuru Slum, Nairobi. She is married to a Tanzanian and has two young children.

Marloes has consistently proven herself as a team player and inspirational leader with the skills to “hit the ground running” in this new position at the firm. I envision a great future for Africa Health Business. Please join me in welcoming Marloes in her new role as Managing Director.

From the incoming Managing Director: Mrs. Marloes Kibacha

Over the past 10 years I have experienced and witnessed the rise of the private health sector in Africa and I am looking forward to further develop our team and footprint in this space. Africa has great prospects for achieving real impact and growth and I am keen to continue working with local and international partners to improve affordable, accessible and quality healthcare for all on the African continent in a sustainable and effective way.
