He is a Medical Laboratory Scientist with over 25 years relevant operational and strategic level experience in disease control efforts and Laboratory strengthening. He holds a PhD in Haematology from Igbinedion University, Okada, Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (FMLSCN), Fellow, West African Postgraduate College of Medical Laboratory Science, (FWAPCMLS). He is currently the Acting Registrar/Chief Executive Officer, Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria. He is a Visiting Senior Lecturer, Bingham University, Karu, Nasarawa State, Nigeria. 

He is also a Member of the Nigeria National Laboratory Technical Working Group (NLTWG), Chair of NLTWG Committee on Laboratory Quality Management System, Biosafety/Biosecurity and Laboratory Information Management. Chair, National Technical Committee on Standards for Medical and Medical Related Services with Secretariat at Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON). He is the Chair, West Africa Regional Technical Working Group on Biosafety and Biosecurity as well as the Vice Chair, World Health Organization Technical Advisory Group on the Responsible Use of the Life Sciences and Dual Use Research.
