The COVID-19 Pandemic has shown that there is a need for Africa to establish stronger surveillance and governance systems, predictable financing mechanisms, better structures to manage pandemics, and public challenges associated with the ongoing economic and political changes.
To harness and combat new and existing public health challenges, the Africa CDC has launched the New Public Health Order as new health standard for Africa that applies innovative solutions with a focus on five core areas.
