Johnpaul Omollo is a seasoned public health professional and policy strategist with over a decade of experience driving health systems transformation across Africa. His expertise spans health policy advocacy, government engagement, pharmaceutical and diagnostics regulation, and the design of sustainable access frameworks for health technologies. Johnpaul has a proven track record in shaping multi‑country advocacy strategies, strengthening clinical research environments, supporting local manufacturing ecosystems, and advancing regulatory harmonization efforts.

He currently serves as the Policy and Government Affairs Partner for Africa at Roche, where he leads advocacy efforts to strengthen diagnostic systems across the continent. In this role, he sets diagnostic policy agenda priorities aligned with Roche’s Africa Strategy, working across diverse political, institutional, and regulatory environments to build resilient and responsive health ecosystems.

Johnpaul brings deep experience in Health Research & Development: designing, implementing, and evaluating R&D policy and regulatory frameworks, contributing to clinical trial governance, and fostering partnerships that accelerate innovation from early discovery through regulatory approval. With strong analytical acumen and a collaborative leadership style, he brings a deep understanding of Africa’s health priorities and political landscapes. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Health and is widely recognized for his ability to bridge policy and practice to drive meaningful health impact.
