As Project Manager in the External Affairs department at Africa Health Business (AHB), Saloni plays a strategic and high-impact role in shaping and delivering the organization’s continental agenda. She leads the end-to-end implementation, coordination, and communication of key initiatives, ensuring they align with AHB’s broader mission to advance Africa’s health and economic development. Saloni is involved in stakeholder engagement at the highest levels, working across both the public and private sectors. Her portfolio includes organizing and facilitating high-level roundtables, policy-focused webinars, business-to-business (B2B) networking sessions, and country delegations. Through these platforms, she brings together Ministries of Health, multinational corporations, development partners, and local innovators—facilitating meaningful dialogue, fostering strategic partnerships, and catalyzing investment in Africa’s health ecosystem, all while strengthening AHB’s position as a trusted convener and thought leader on the continent.
As Project Manager for the Coalition of Blood for Africa (CoBA), Saloni leads the operational management of the initiative, ensuring the seamless execution of CoBA’s objectives. She oversees daily activities, monitors project outputs, and ensures all goals are met efficiently. Additionally, she drives partnership development and stakeholder engagement, working closely with key collaborators to strengthen blood systems and improve access to safe blood across Africa.
Before joining AHB, Saloni spent over eight years as a community and superintendent pharmacist in the United Kingdom, ensuring patients received the correct medications while maintaining adherence to prescribed treatments. She played a key leadership role in regulatory compliance, staff training, and operational management, ensuring high-quality pharmaceutical care. Her experience has strengthened her expertise in patient care, healthcare systems, and access to essential medicines, giving her a well-rounded perspective on healthcare delivery and the ability to drive impactful initiatives.
Saloni holds a Master’s Degree in Pharmacy from the University of London – School of Pharmacy (now part of University College London) and has completed a short course on HIV from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
